Vietnamese Day held in Belgium

The Belgium-Vietnam Alliance (BVA) organised the Vietnamese Day in Brussels on September 1, aiming to introduce the land and people of Vietnam to locals.

Brussels (VNA) – The Belgium-VietnamAlliance (BVA) organised the Vietnamese Day in Brussels on September 1, aimingto introduce the land and people of Vietnam to locals.

In his opening remarks, BVA President Andries Gryffroy expressed his hope thatthe programme, the first of its kind held by the alliance, will start culturalactivities on Vietnam to be hosted by the BVA in the future.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Belgium Vu Anh Quang said he hopes that the event willbe held annually in the host country.

Apart from tea, visitors to the programme were treated to traditionalVietnamese dishes like banh cuon (steamed rice rolls), pho (noodle soup) andnem (spring rolls).

They had a chance to learn more about Vietnam through art performances, booksand other tourism promotion activities.

Proceedings collected from the event will be used for social and humanitarianprojects in Vietnam.-VNA

Vietnamese cinema returns to Berlin summer film programme

The screening attracted considerable interest from film enthusiasts and the Vietnamese community in the German capital. Vietnam's 22-match unbeaten run draws praise from RoK media

Under the tournament format, the semifinals and final will be played over two legs. Vietnam will travel to Malaysia for the first leg on August 16 before hosting the second leg on August 19. Should Vietnam overcome Malaysia, they will meet the winner of the other semifinal between Thailand and Singapore in the final.

Lawmakers mull over changes to architecture law
