Vietnamese designer’s fashion show impresses audience in Venice

The Vietnamese Embassy in Italy has organised a series of activities in Venice to celebrate the Vietnam-Italy Year 2023 and the 50th anniversary of the two countries' diplomatic ties, with highlights being a fashion show featuring outfits by Vietnamese designer Hoang Hai.

Rome (VNA) – The Vietnamese Embassy in Italy has organised a series of activities in Venice to celebrate the Vietnam-Italy Year 2023 and the 50th anniversary of the two countries' diplomatic ties, with highlights being a fashion show featuring outfits by Vietnamese designer Hoang Hai.

Under the theme “Armonia”, the show featured three collections ofao dai (Vietnamese traditional long dress), wedding dresses and evening gownsby Hai, who said that the outfits are inspired by beautifullandscapes of both Vietnam and Italy.

Addressing the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy DuongHai Hung said the fashion show is expected to help popularise Vietnam - a countrywith a rich cultural identity and friendly Vietnamese people toItalian friends as well as strengthen cooperationbetween Vietnam and Veneto region and the city of Venice.

Paola Mar, Director of the Heritage Department of Venicecity, said that the event is significant to Venice, one of the world'scultural and fashion centres in the context of the two countries celebrating 50 years of bilateral ties.

Vietnam is a developing country with a lot of potential forcooperation for international businesses, including Italian businesses, and fashionis one of the areas where the two countries can cooperate to promote theirrelationship, she told Vietnam News Agency correspondents in Italy.

Earlier on June 15, the Vietnamese Ambassador held a workingsession with teachers and students of the Vietnamese Faculty of Ca’FoscariUniversity where he provided them with updated information about Vietnam and therelationship between the two countries.

During the meeting, the diplomat pledged to give support to the teaching of the Vietnamese language at the university and help popularise the image of Venice in general and Ca’Foscari University in general./.

Vietnamese puppetry seeks renewal amid preservation challenges

Project on digital transformation in cultural sector approved

By 2030, the project targets the establishment of shared digital platforms across 100% of cultural sectors. All digitised cultural heritage will be standardised under the national data framework and shared in accordance with regulations, while 80% of public digital heritage assets are expected to receive digital identifiers to clarify ownership and management, encouraging organisations and individuals to do the same and support market development.
