(Photo: VNA) Rome (VNA) – The Vietnamese Embassy in Italy has organised a series of activities in Venice to celebrate the Vietnam-Italy Year 2023 and the 50th anniversary of the two countries' diplomatic ties, with highlights being a fashion show featuring outfits by Vietnamese designer Hoang Hai.
Under the theme “Armonia”, the show featured three collections ofao dai (Vietnamese traditional long dress), wedding dresses and evening gownsby Hai, who said that the outfits are inspired by beautifullandscapes of both Vietnam and Italy.
Addressing the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy DuongHai Hung said the fashion show is expected to help popularise Vietnam - a countrywith a rich cultural identity and friendly Vietnamese people toItalian friends as well as strengthen cooperationbetween Vietnam and Veneto region and the city of Venice.
Paola Mar, Director of the Heritage Department of Venicecity, said that the event is significant to Venice, one of the world'scultural and fashion centres in the context of the two countries celebrating 50 years of bilateral ties.
Vietnam is a developing country with a lot of potential forcooperation for international businesses, including Italian businesses, and fashionis one of the areas where the two countries can cooperate to promote theirrelationship, she told Vietnam News Agency correspondents in Italy.

(Photo: VNA) Earlier on June 15, the Vietnamese Ambassador held a workingsession with teachers and students of the Vietnamese Faculty of Ca’FoscariUniversity where he provided them with updated information about Vietnam and therelationship between the two countries.
During the meeting, the diplomat pledged to give support to the teaching of the Vietnamese language at the university and help popularise the image of Venice in general and Ca’Foscari University in general./.
