Vietnamese expats in Thailand seek to invest in Binh Dinh

A delegation of 30 entrepreneurs from the Thai-Vietnamese Businessmen Association (TVBA) and the Vietnamese Association in Udon Thani province joined a working session with leading officials from central Binh Dinh province on September 5 to explore cooperation opportunities in the locality.

Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le Huu Loc introduced participants to potential for cooperation between Binh Dinh and Udon Thani as well as and Thailand in general.

He spoke of the Thailand-invested Nhon Hoi Petrochemical Complex Project, which is scheduled to be constructed in Hoi Economic Zone in Binh Dinh by 2016, saying it is expected to promote local economic development and further links between the two countries.

Former President Nguyen Minh Triet hailed the role of the Vietnamese Association and the TVBA and called on overseas Vietnamese in Thailand to work hard to help the homeland’ development.

The guests expressed their interest in inquiring about cooperation opportunities in processing industry, tourism, and services.

TVBA President Nguyen Quang Trung said Vietnamese expats in Udon Thani will exert their efforts to boost connection with businessmen in Binh Dinh in the coming time.

He added his association will promote information on Binh Dinh in Thailand with the aim of helping the locality attract more investment from the country and boosting trade between the two countries.-VNA
