Vietnamese game developers form federation

The Vietnam Game Developers Federation (VGDF) has been recently established by the Vietnam Digital Communication Association and five local game companies.
The Vietnam Game Developers Federation (VGDF) has been recentlyestablished by the Vietnam Digital Communication Association and fivelocal game companies.

The local companies are eMobi Game, Digital Fish, DigiWave and GrepGame, besides Tofu.

VGDF Chairman is Nguyen Lam Thanh, who is also vice chairman-cum-general secretary of the association.

Thefederation aims to support and boost sustainable and creativedevelopment of the Vietnamese game industry, increasing itscompetitiveness in the world.

It will act as a community ofVietnamese game developers to raise game-related issues such as taxes,preferential policies and issuance management.

The federationwill represent the Vietnamese game community in organising andparticipating in national and international game fairs and conferences.It will also act as a bridge between local game studios andinternational game publishers.

The VGDF will share its experiencein producing, publishing and developing human resources with start-upgame firms. It will also cooperate with state agencies in themanagement, publication and appraisal of game contents developed by thefederation's members.

After it was founded, the federation signeda strategic cooperation agreement with VNPT Technology, a membercompany of the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT).-VNA

Under the direction of the Government and the Ministry of Public Security, the ministry’s Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order (C06) has led efforts to review and standardise information on martyrs and their relatives, collect DNA samples from relatives, and build and manage a DNA database. It also coordinates with forensic agencies to compare DNA data and identify the remains of fallen soldiers.
