World-level marksman Hoang Xuan Vinh of Vietnam has won the right to compete in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Vinh was placed fourth with 150.3 points in the men's 50-metre pistol event at the International Sport Shooting Federation World Championships' finals in Spain.
Jin Jog-oh of the Republic of Korea was placed first with 192.3 points, India's Rai Jitu came second with 191.1 points and Chinese Pang Wei was placed third with 172.6 points.
Three-time Olympic champion Jin's total score of 583 is a new world record.
As per the regulations, all top four shooters have qualified for the next Olympic Games. It will be the second time in a row that Vinh will compete at the largest global sporting festival.
Vinh had been ranked fourth at the London Olympics in the same category. He will join the national team who are training in the Republic of Korea for the 17th Asian Games beginning next week./.
