Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang has signed a Decision on approving a program to develop one million ha of low-emission, high-quality rice in the Mekong Delta through 2030.
The new rice celebration of the Bru-Van Kieu ethnic minority people in the central highlands has been recognised as a national intangible cultural heritage, and is not only preserved but also promoted by the central province of Quang Binh as a community-based tourism product.
The Vietnam Rice Industry Association (VIETRISA) made its debut at its first congress for the 2023 - 2028 tenure held in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on December 11.
