Vietnamese Students’ Day held in RoK

The ninth Vietnamese Students’ Day was held in the Republic of Korea (RoK) on November 17 as part of activities to mark the 21 st anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
The ninth Vietnamese Students’ Day was held in the Republic of Korea (RoK) on November 17 as part of activities to mark the 21 st anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries.

Jointly organised by the Vietnamese Students Association in the RoK (VSAK) and the Vietnamese Embassy, the annual event aims to promote exchange, strengthen solidarity among students, and promote the beauty of Vietnam ’s land and people to Koreans and other international friends.

Despite the chilly weather, thousands of Vietnamese students in the RoK wearing traditional costumes took part in music and dance performances and enjoyed Vietnamese dishes.

VSAK Chairman Nguyen Ngoc Hoan reviewed the association’s operations in scientific research, culture and sports activities and charity programmes looking towards the homeland.

Vietnamese Ambassador to the RoK Pham Huu Chi highlighted the rapid development in bilateral wide-ranging cooperation, especially in education, training and employment.

Vietnamese students with outstanding academic records were also honoured at the event.-VNA
