Rising young tennis star Ly Hoang Nam moved up 66 spots in the International Tennis Federation (ITF)'s latest junior ranking list.
His rise from 228 to 162 was attributed to his good performances in several recent tournaments.
In his latest tournament, the Copa Del Café, in San Jose, the US, last week, played on hard courts, Nam reached the quarter-finals.
Last year was generally good for 16-year-old Nam. Coached by multiple national champion Tran Duc Quynh, he became the youngest player, at just 15, to win a national tennis championship.
Following that success, Nam played 11 ITF international tennis events, winning two and putting up decent performances in the nine others.-VNA
