Vietnam's cooperation with the Francophone community has continued to develop positively. The Francophone community values Vietnam's role and contributions, viewing the country as a model for socio-economic development and a central focus in Francophone cooperation activities in the Asia-Pacific region.
For the past 30 years, Vietnamese high-ranking leaders have consistently participated in Francophonie Summits, demonstrating the country's commitment to cooperating with the International Organisation of La Francophone (OIF) and its member countries, Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang has said.
During his working trip from September 30 to October 7, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and State President To Lam will attend the 19th Francophonie Summit in France and pay an official visit to the European country at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron.
The official visit to France by Party General Secretary and President To Lam and his attendance at the 19th Francophonie Summit demonstrate Vietnam's strong bonds with the Francophone community and affirm that the country attaches importance to bilateral relations with the European country, said French Ambassador to Vietnam Olivier Brochet.
