Vietnam’s beach football team ranks fourth in Asia

Vietnam’s beach football team was placed fourth in Asia in the recently announced 2014 world rankings, after the United Arab Emirates, Iran and Japan, said the Vietnam Football Federation on December 25.

The promotion was attributed to the encouraging achievements the teammade during the year, especially its second place at the ASEAN FootballFederation (AFF) Beach Football Asia Championship and fourth position atthe Asian Beach Games 2014 in Thailand.

In the world,Vietnam ranked 31st with 90 points. Russia topped the global list,followed by Brazil and Sweden.-VNA
