Vietnam’s first dairy farm receives GlobalGAP certificate

A dairy farm in the central province of Nghe An on July 18 was awarded with the Global Good Agricultural Practices (GlobalGAP) certificate, the first in Vietnam and Southeast Asia and the third in Asia to receive the recognition.

GlobalGAPspecifies requirements for agricultural production to meet internationalstandards of farm produce and protect the environment.

The farm, run by the Vietnam Dairy Cow Company, a subsidiary of theVietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk), was certifiedeight months after it started implementing GlobalGAP standards inSeptember 2013.

Vinamilk is running five dairy farmsnationwide, all of which have been granted the ISO 9001:2008certificate by Bureau Veritas France .

The company plans to open four more farms from now to 2015.-VNA

Vietnam's tourism sector faces labour shortage

A 2026 survey by Hoteljob.vn found that nearly 90% of tourism businesses planned to recruit. In Ho Chi Minh City alone, 89.7% of businesses were hiring, while 71.8% said recruitment was difficult or very difficult. The biggest shortages were among frontline workers, particularly in housekeeping, engineering, food service, front-office operations, and kitchens.
