The Vietnam Space Committee will be set up with the Minister of Science and Technology being its president, according to a recent government decision.
The decision says that the committee will propose programmes, plans and measures to implement the national strategy on research and application of space technology to the Prime Minister.
It will also help the PM oversee the implementation of the strategy and act as Vietnam ’s representative to international organisations on space technology.
The committee comprises two deputy presidents, who are head of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology and Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, and 10 members, three of whom are scientists specialising in space technology./.
