Vietnam’s tennis player rises in world rankings

Vietnam’s Ly Hoang Nam jumped two spots to 12th in the world junior rankings, after his entry into a clay-court tournament’s quarter-finals Trofeo Bonfiglio in Italy last week.
Vietnam’s Ly Hoang Nam jumped two spots to 12th in the world junior rankings, after his entry into a clay-court tournament’s quarter-finals Trofeo Bonfiglio in Italy last week.

It is the highest rank for the Tay Ninh province-born player as well as Vietnam.

Nam will take part in the junior competition of the French Open, to be held from May 31 to June 6 in Paris.

As he is busy preparing for the second Grand Slam of the year, Nam has been allowed to withdraw from the Southeast Asian Games in Singapore.-VNA
