Vietnam came from behind to beat Chinese side Shandong 3-2 in a thrilling semi-final at the International Women's Volleyball Tournament on July 19 in the northern province of Ninh Binh.
The team showed tremendous courage to recover from early setbacks, eventually prevailing 23-25, 20-25, 28-26, 25-12, 15-13.
In the final on July 21, they will meet another Chinese squad – Jiangsu – who thrashed Kazakhstan 25-10, 25-16, 25-15 in the other semi.
It will also be their second clash at the event, known as the VTV Cup. In their previous encounter, Vietnam was narrowly defeated 15-25, 25-23, 25-23, 21-25, 9-15.
The third-place playoff will see Kazakhstan take on Shandong.-VNA
