Vinacomin eyes 35 million tonnes of coal to be sold in 2015

Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) is striving to exploit 2.5 million tonnes of raw coal and sell 3 million tonnes of coal in December in order to fulfil its yearly targets set for 2015.

It set to exploit 37.2 million tonnes of raw coal and sell 35 million tonnes of coal this year.

According to Vinacomin, as of November, the group produced 34.7 million tonnes of raw coal, equal to 93.1 percent of the yearly target and up 2 percent over the same period last year. It sold 32.4 million tonnes of coal, or 92.8 percent of the yearly target, up 3.5 percent year-on-year.

In the period, the group’s revenues are estimated at nearly 98 trillion VND (4.3 billion USD), equivalent to 93.4 percent of the yearly target.
