Hanoi (VNA) - VinFast Manufacturing and Trading Co., Ltd on September28 announced the selection of US-based Cerence Company as a partner to providevoice-control artificial intelligence (AI) solution on smart electric cars withsix most popular languages.

Cerence is a world-renowned American developer of AIsolutions for automobiles and its voice assistants has been applied to nearly400 million cars globally.

Under the agreement, Cerence will provide VinFast with anumber of core technologies such as automatic speech recognition, naturallanguage understanding (NLU), text-to-speech, and natural language generation(NLG) and enhancing voice signals to develop virtual assistants capable oftwo-way communication like humans.
The automotive assistant can understand user’s commands andquestions in six different languages, namely English, German, French (of Frenchand Canadian people), Spanish and Dutch.

In particular, in the version jointly developed by Cerenceand VinFast, users can interrupt the virtual assistant to give new commandsinstead of having to listen to the entire automatic dialogue like some othersolutions.

Currently, VinFast is developing and will sell in Vietnam,North America and Europe three smart electric car models, namely VF e34, VF e35,VF e36, in 2021 and 2022./.

Car sales increase sharply in June

Under the agreement, BatX Energies will provide VinFast with comprehensive solutions for high-voltage (HV) battery recycling, including the recovery of materials such as lithium, cobalt, and nickel, as well as battery repurposing at VinFast’s manufacturing facilities and after-sales network in India.

2025 coffee exports hit target, set for record 7.5 billion USD

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (MAE), Vietnam exported an estimated 953,900 tonnes of coffee worth 5.45 billion USD in the first six months of 2025, increasing by 5.3% in volume and 67.5% in value compared to the same period in 2024.
