Vietnam will play in group G along with the Republic of Korea , Malaysia , Myanmar , Taiwan and the Philippines in the qualifying round of the 2013 U22 Asian Football Championship.
This was announced by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) after the draw in Kuala Lumpur on Feb. 15 and gives Vietnam an excellent opportunity to advance to the finals.
Each group will play in a round robin format to compete for the two places in the final round.
However, Vietnam will have to play at their best against old rivals Malaysian and Myanmar , say commentators.
The qualifying round will take place from June 23 to July 3.
Other Southeast Asian teams have a harder task than Vietnam . In group F, Thailand will meet the Democratic People Republic of Korea and China , while Indonesia and Singapore have to play Australia and Japan in group E./.
