Vietnam’s Ambassador to Paraguay , Nguyen Van Dao on Dec. 8, met with representatives from the country’s business community to present the advantages of doing business in Vietnam.
When meeting with the Industrial Union of Paraguay (UIP), Ambassador Dao highlighted Vietnam ’s economy, its different economic sectors, key macro-economic figures and the country’s policies to encourage trade and investment.
He stated that with their current levels of economic growth, Vietnam and Paraguay have many opportunities to boost bilateral trade. He pledged to help businesses from both countries get in contact with each other.
After agreeing with the Vietnamese diplomat, the UIP’s Deputy President Eduardo Felippo said he believed that with better understanding of each other’s markets, businesses of the two countries can increase bilateral trade turnover.
Leading Paraguayan businesses involved in garments and textiles, footwear, batteries, farm produce, timber, agricultural machinery, electrical equipment and information technology, asked about Vietnam ’s policies on imports and exports, taxes, inflation and its foreign exchange system.
Later the same day, Ambassador Dao met with officials from the Paraguayan Presidential Office and the Foreign Ministry to discuss measures to develop cooperation between both countries, especially in economics./.
