Two heritages of Vietnam along with 40 natural and culturalproperties in 40 countries will be considered by UNESCO for theinscription on the World Heritage List.
Under theannouncement made by the United Nations Educational, Scientific andCultural Organisation (UNESCO) on May 5, the Citadel of the Ho Dynastyin the northern province of Thanh Hoa will be a candidate site forUNESCO’s World Cultural Heritage list.
Meanwhile,Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park in the central province of Quang Binh,which was recognised as the world natural heritage under geological andgeomorphic criteria will be considered for the second world naturalheritage status under the criteria of biodiversity.
Up tonow, UNESCO has recognised 911 world heritages, including 704 culturalheritages, 180 natural heritages and 27 mixed cultural and naturalheritages in 151 member countries./.
