VN to participate in taekwondo championships in Mexico

Vietnamese martial arts fighters will participate in the ninth World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships to be held in Aguascalientes, Mexico, from October 30 to November 2.
Vietnamese martial arts fighters will participate in the ninth WorldTaekwondo Poomsae Championships to be held in Aguascalientes, Mexico,from October 30 to November 2.

The 29-member team, to beled by Chairman of the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation Truong Ngoc De, willcompete in 24 out of 36 disciplines with the aim of winning at leasttwo gold medals.

Vietnam ranked second in the eighthedition of the same event held in Bali, Indonesia, last year, with threegold, three silver and five bronze medals.

At this year'stournament, which will feature cadet divisions as well as an over andunder-65 year division, Vietnam will receive the flag for the 10thchampionships that it will host in November next year.-VNA
