Hanoi (VNA) – Journalists of the Vietnam News Agency have won a first prize and three consolation prizes of a photo contest themed 'Women with family and society' held by the Department of Culture and Sports of Hanoi.
At the award presenting ceremony on December 14, VNA's journalist Bui Cuong Quyet was presented with the first prize for the work "Silent people in the fight against COVID-19 in the capital" and two consolation prizes. Meanwhile, another VNA journalist, Phan Tuan Anh secured the consolation prize in the category of single photo.
Launched on July 22 this year, the contest received more than 500 entries from 54 professional and amateur photographers in Hanoi.
The prize winning works show deep humanistic meanings, contributing to promoting the image of Vietnamese women and introducing the culture, lifestyle of Vietnamese people, thus raising public awareness of gender equality.
The contest created a useful playground for photography lovers to share experience, thus further improving their creativeness./.
Vietnam Journalists’ Association has new chairman
The Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association (VJA) on October 26 elected Le Quoc Minh, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan (People) newspaper, the new chairman of the association.
