This year's tournament has 19 teams competing in a round robin format in the preliminaries on May 12-16.
The opening matches will see hosts Myanmar take on Maldives, Thailand challenge Saudi Arabia, Qatar meet Malaysia, the Philippines play India and Vietnam will battle Chinese Taipei.
Two top teams from the nine-day championship will qualify for the second FIVB Volleyball Men's U23 World Championship, which will take place in Dubai, the United Arabs Emirates, from August 24-31.-VNA
