The 29-strong team left on July 3 for the Paris tournament where 38 sets of medals will be up for grabs.
During the championships, organisers will also hold Vovinam Day in France on July 4 at the Vietnamese Culture Centre. The activity forms part of celebrations marking the 40th anniversary of the two countries' diplomatic ties.
