The national Vietnam Television (VTV) network has been licensed to exclusively broadcast the 2014 football World Cup across Vietnam, according to a VTV official on May 14.
Head of VTV’s Editorial Secretariat Nguyen Ha Nam said the acquired rights cover exclusive broadcasting via terrestrial, cable and satellite television, radio, as well as mobile and internet devices nationwide.
The television will share its broadcast copyright with local television and radio stations and pay TV service suppliers if they register and gain permits from the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA).
It will televise all 64 matches live along with pre-match build up and post-match analysis on the channels VTV3 and VTV6.
The 2014 FIFA World Cup will take place in Brazil from June 12 to July 13 with the participation of 32 teams from around the globe.-VNA
