The World Bank in Vietnam on Mar. 29 hosted a programme for Vietnamese and international banking experts and managers to share knowledge on human-centred development (open development).
Participants in the programme heard the introduction to policies for accessing information, which represent a basic change in the method of releasing banking information.
The policies, including commitments to strengthening public access to information, and supervision of WB-funded projects, reflect the key role of transparency in development.
The open sources of data, finance, geographic maps, information and other open tools are among WB’s efforts to make information more public and transparent.
The programme also provided deeper understanding about banking modernisation and the usage of open tools for different purposes.-VNA
