Work starts on Uncle Ho memorial site in Thailand

The construction of a site in memory of late Vietnamese President Ho Chi Minh has started in East village, Pamakab district, the Thai province of Phichit.
The construction of a site in memory of late Vietnamese President HoChi Minh has started in East village, Pamakab district, the Thaiprovince of Phichit.

As part of a project on building theThailand-Vietnam Friendship Village, the work covers an area of nearly8,000 square metres donated by local residents.

The site is expected to be completed by 2015 to mark the 125th birth anniversary of President Ho (May 19).

Ho Chi Minh lived and worked in the village for a month in theautumn of 1928 before moving to north-eastern provinces.-VNA
