In the men's event, Vietnamese wrestlers lost in their first rounds. Doi Dang Tien lost 0-4 to Norwegian Thomas Andresen Ronningen in the 55kg Greco-Roman pool.

Nguyen Huy Ha and Nguyen The Anh was beaten 1-11 and 2-9 in the 55kg and 60kg freestyle pool, losing to Amiram Karmanov from Greece and Vasyl Fedoryshyn from Ukraine, respectively.

In the women's event, Pham Thi Loan was defeated 0-7 by Luz Clara from Argentina in the 63kg freestyle pool in the second round. Although advancing to the quarterfinals, Tran Thi Dieu Ninh could not overcome China 's Yang Selian and was defeated 0-10.

The tournament wrapped up on May 6.

The nation will still have a wrestling medal hope as Nguyen Thi Lua, who took a silver medal at an Asian qualification tournament in Kazakhstan in April, will be competing in London.-VNA
