Vietnam has continued to strengthen its global tourism brand with a series of prestigious wins at the 2025 World Travel Awards (WTA) for Asia and Oceania held on October 13 in Hong Kong (China).
The country triumphed over many strong regional contenders, earning top honours in key natural tourism categories. The Dong Van Karst Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark in northern province of Tuyen Quang was named “Asia’s Leading Regional Cultural Destination”. Meanwhile, Phong Nha–Ke Bang National Park in the central province of Quing Tri claimed a double victory as “Vietnam’s Leading Natural Destination” and “Asia’s Leading National Park 2025”.
The Seoul-based World Taekwondo Academy (WTA), known as Kukkiwon, is willing to support Vietnam in organising the 2024 Asian Open Police Taekwondo Championships, said its President Lee Dong-seop on November 8.
With nine UNESCO-recognised heritage sites, including five cultural, three natural, and one complex heritage, Vietnam has won the World’s Leading Heritage Destination 2023 title of the World Travel Awards.
Vietnam has won various awards, including “World’s Leading Heritage Destination,” at the 27th World Travel Awards’ Grand Final Gala Ceremony 2020 held virtually and broadcast live from Zaryahye Park in Moscow, Russia.
The 16th World Technopolis Association (WTA) Mayors’ Forum took place in the southern province of Binh Duong on October 12, attracting the participation of WTA President Her Tae-jeong and mayors of 30 cities over the world.
Nearly 150 volunteers, mostly students, will support delegates at 11th General Assembly of the World Technopolis Association (WTA), which will be held in the southern province of Binh Duong from October 10-12.
The southern province of Binh Duong is looking for original, innovative, and feasible ideas to build its city of the same name into a smart city in a competition launched on July 13.
