Yen Bai province hosts Red River festival

The northern mountainous province of Yen Bai is hosting the Red River Festival 2013 highlighting the rich culture of the region.

The three-day festival, which opened on February 17 in Van Yendistrict, is part of a tourism cooperation programme between the threeupstream provinces of Yen Bai, Phu Tho and Lao Cai.

With diverse activities such as art performances, a show of traditionalcostumes, food fairs, sports competitions, film screening andexhibitions, the festival has attracted a large number of visitors.

A number of tours along the Red River have also been launched on this occasion. -VN

The Vietnamese delegation comprises 496 members, including athletes, coaches, experts, officials, doctors and medical staff.
