President listens to HCM City voters’ opinions

President Truong Tan Sang on December 2 had meetings with voters in Ho Chi Minh City’s districts 1 and 3, during which the voters expressed their pleasure at the outcomes of the National Assembly’s sixth session with the adopting of the amended Constitution.
President Truong Tan Sang on December 2 had meetings with voters in Ho Chi Minh City’s districts 1 and 3, during which the voters expressed their pleasure at the outcomes of the National Assembly’s sixth session with the adopting of the amended Constitution.

They said the revised Constitution with supplemented contents on the rights and obligations of citizens, better ensures legitimate interest of citizens.

They also lauded the approval of a number of revised laws, especially the revised Land Law.

In addition, they also pointed out that the NA should strengthen supervision role over some issues like overspending, as well as the responsibilities of ministers to realise their promises at the NA question and answer sessions.

They voiced their concern over emerging problems including the rising of crimes, hospital overload, doctors’ ethics, environmental pollution, corruption and wastefulness.

They also requested stronger actions to deal with flood from hydropower projects and ensure vaccination safety.

Recognising the voters’ responsible opinions, President Sang expressed hope that each voter will promote their supervision role. He reiterated that the Party and State always listen carefully to citizens’ voices.

As a NA deputy, President Sang affirmed that together with other deputies, he will do his utmost to improve voter’s trust in him.-VNA
