Vietnam bags one more medal at Asian Athletics Championships

Vietnam won one more silver medal in the female team’s 4x400m relay category at the 22nd Asian Athletics Championships in India on July 9.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam won one more silver medal in the female team’s 4x400m relay category at the 22nd Asian Athletics Championships in India on July 9.

The team, comprising Nguyen Thi Huyen, Quach Thi Lan, Nguyen Thi Oanh and Hoang Thi Ngoc, finished the track clocking 3:33.22.

The gold medal went to the Indian team, with the time of 3:31.34.

Also at the competition, Nguyen Thi Huyen took home a gold medal in the women’s 400m hurdle, while her teammates Bui Thi Thao won a gold medal in the women’s long jump and Quach Thi Lan brought home a silver medal in the women’s 400m division.

Meanwhile, at the 2017 3-Cushion World Cup Porto, which just ended on July 9 in Portugal, Nguyen Quoc Nguyen won a silver medal after being defeated by Kim Haeng-Jik from the Republic of Korea.-VNA
