The Republic of Korea (RoK) will receive 12,500 application files of Vietnamese labourers having qualified language skills this year for recruitment.
As a rule, every Vietnamese applicant who wishes to work in the RoK must pass the Korean Language Proficiency Test (KLPT) which is organised by the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the RoK Human Resources Development Service (HRD).
Of 29,249 applicants who took the test in Hanoi, Vinh, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho on April 25, 12,500 finalists with the highest scores will be chosen, HRD vice president Kim Nam il said, adding that Vietnam’s large percentage of qualified labourers makes it the favourite market of the RoK.
At first, 125 labourers from poor districts will not be given any priority but the HRD will send these application files to the employers in the selection process, said Kim./.
