Attending the event were Vietnamese Ambassador to France Đinh Toàn Thắng, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Vietnam to UNESCO Nguyễn Thị Vân Anh, as well as a large number of overseas Vietnamese and French friends.
From folk tunes to light music, and from classic Vietnamese songs to global hits, over 40 members of the choir delivered a powerful and impressive performance. The 15th-anniversary concert was a rich and emotional experience, allowing the audience to relive memorable moments in the choir’s history.
Born in April 2009, the choir aims to gather Vietnamese people with the same passion for singing and loving revolutionary songs.
Regarding the name "Homeland" Mrs. Nguyễn Thị Ngân Hà, the choir's founder, explained: "Choral music unites those who enjoy singing revolutionary songs and connecting with the homeland. Even if the technique isn’t perfect, the emotional connection is strong. Singing these songs evokes thoughts of home, which is why we chose the name 'Hometown Choir'."
After 15 years, the choir is proud to be the only Vietnamese choir abroad that consistently participates in international choral festivals and cultural events across France and Europe./.
