1.8 million doses of Sinovac vaccine arrive in Jakarta

An additional 1,808,040 doses of Sinovac vaccine arrived at Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Jakarta on September 14, bringing the total doses of COVID-19 vaccine that Indonesia has so far to more than 243 million, consisting of ready-to-administer and bulk vaccines.

Jakarta, (VNA) - An additional 1,808,040 doses of Sinovac vaccine arrived at Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Jakarta onSeptember 14, bringing the total doses of COVID-19 vaccine that Indonesiahas so far to more than 243 million, consisting ofready-to-administer and bulk vaccines.

Previously, on September 12 and 13, the country also received three batches of Sinovac's vaccine with a total of 9.5 milliondoses.

Speaking at the ceremony to receive the vaccine batch on September 14, Assistant National Police Chief InspectorGeneral Imam Sugianto emphasized that this 61st batch of vaccines not only guarantees the supply but also demonstrates the government'scommitment to meet the demand of the people.

Imam reminded people not to be complacent about the decrease inCOVID-19 cases, and called on all parties to join the fight against theepidemic by strictly implementing health regulations and speeding upvaccination.

Indonesia launched a free national inoculation drive on January 13.By the end of September 14, 74,257,515 people in this country had received a firstdose and 42,565,331 people have been fully vaccinated./.
