The statement was released at the 28 th session of the 12 th National Assembly Standing Committee held in Hanoi on February 9, which collected ideas on preparations for the 7 th meeting of the 12 th NA.

According to the NA’s Law Committee, the submission of the Capital Bill to the NA in preparation of the 1,000 th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi has a great political and spiritual significance and lays an important legal foundation for the building of a civilised, polite and modern capital city in the new era.

Many NA Standing Committee members said when the bill is adopted it will play an important role in the socio-economic development of the capital in particular and the country in general.

NA Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu asked drafting agencies to work hard and punctually submit the draft law to the NA at the 7 th meeting.


According to the NA Office, the 7th meeting of the 12th NA will consider to pass 11 bills, discuss 14 others and one resolution during 35 days of convening. The NA will strictly oversee the implementation of legal regulations on the establishment of schools and the quality of tertiary education./.
