The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) and the Vietnam Tourism Association jointly held a ceremony in Hanoi on October 17 to present the Vietnam Tourism Awards 2010 to excellent businesses.
At the ceremony, VNAT Director Nguyen Van Tuan presented certificates of merit and commemorative cups to 50 establishments, including the top 10 five-star
hotels and the top 10 international travel companies.
2011 marks the 12 th year of the presence of the Vietnam Tourism Awards.
Speaking at the event, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh stressed that travel businesses are a momentum for Vietnam ’s tourism development, making the country one of the attractive destinations for international tourists.
Vietnam strives to welcome about 10 million foreign visitors in 2020 and 18 million ten years later. The country sets a target of earning 18 billion USD from tourism activities in 2020 and 36 billion USD in 2030./.
