Binh Phuoc (VNA) – VRG DongwhaJSC, on August 28, put into operation a 70 million USD medium-density fibreboard(MDF) plant in the southern province of Binh Phuoc. 

The facility, the second phase of a projectby the company, spans 6.4 hectares with an annual capacity of 180,000 cubicmetres of MDF.

The entire project, with a total investmentof 4.85 trillion VND (213.4 million USD), is now capable of producing 480,000cubic metres of MDF per year.

VRG Dongwha is a joint venture between theRepublic of Korea’s Dongwha Group, Asia’s biggest MDF manufacturer, and theVietnam Rubber Industry Group. -VNA

Regarding the ongoing negotiations on a Reciprocal Trade Agreement between the two countries, he emphasised that Vietnam remains consistent in its approach to the talks with the US, aiming for a bilateral agreement based on respect for sovereignty, independence, political system, harmonisation and balance of interests, as well as in line with international commitments and the development level of each country.
