Hanoi (VNA) – Seventy-five businesses will be presented with theVietnam National Quality Awards 2018 at a ceremony held in Hanoi on June 23.

Of the total, 22 will be presented with thegolden prize, the Ministry of Science and Technology announced at a pressbriefing on June 18.

Among the golden award winners, nine arebig production businesses, including DOMESCO Medical Import-Export JSC,Viglacera Corporation, An Phat Plastic and Green Environment JSC, and Tan HiepPhat Service and Trading Co. Ltd.

Eight others are small- and medium-sizedproduction firms, and five are small- and medium-sized service companies.

Meanwhile, the remaining 53 award winnersinclude 20 big production companies, 21 small- and medium-sized productioncompanies, one big service company, and 11 small- and medium-sized serviceones.

The Vietnam National Quality Awards are thePrime Minister’s annual recognition of organisations and enterprises withremarkable quality achievements in production, business activities andservices, thus helping to promote the standing of Vietnamese products andservices in the domestic and foreign markets.

The awards, first presented in 1996, wereinitiated by the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality under theMinistry of Science and Technology.

At the awarding ceremony, the Binh MinhPlastic Joint Stock Company and the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank forIndustry and Trade (Vietinbank) will be honoured with the Global PerformanceExcellence Award (GPEA) 2018.-VNA

Green shift powers investment in southeast Vietnam

The Amata Industrial Park in Dong Nai City, established 32 years ago and covering more than 500ha, is home to over 160 domestic and foreign businesses. Multi-channel capital mobilisation needed to achieve double-digit growth

The Ministry of Finance estimates development investment for 2026-2030 at a minimum of 38.5 quadrillion VND (1.48 trillion USD), or about 40% of GDP. The state budget is expected to provide only about 20%, or more than 7.7 quadrillion VND, leaving over 80%, or more than 30 quadrillion VND, to be raised from the broader economy. That makes expanding capital mobilisation channels beyond bank credit essential.

Vietnam International Financial Centre launches membership registration system

Integrated into the official Vietnam International Financial Centre portal at vifc.gov.vn, the online system for registering and recognising members provides a unified online service channel through which investors, organisations and businesses can complete procedures related to membership, from new registration and recognition to information updates and termination of membership.

Hue courts capital to turn industrial zones into growth engine

The economic and industrial zones in Hue city host more than 200 active investment projects worth over 152 trillion VND (5.84 billion USD), with 139 already operational.
