AFF Suzuki Cup: High ticket demand for Vietnam-Laos match

Tickets for the match between Vietnam and Laos in Group A of the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup 2018 have nearly sold out in the first ticket sale.

Vientiane (VNA) – Tickets for the match between Vietnam and Laos in Group A of the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup 2018 have nearly sold out inthe first ticket sale.

The match will take place at 19:30 on November 8 at theLaos National Stadium in Vientiane, which can host 20,000 spectators.

Tickets are being sold at 10,000 and 20,000 Laokip (about 1.17 – 2.35 USD).

As of November 5 evening, about 15,000 tickets hadbeen sold. Thipphakon Phakasi, a media official of the Laos Football Federation(LFF), said there were only 1,000 tickets worth 10,000 kip left.

He added the LFF will sell the remaining 5,000 ticketson November 7, a day prior to the match.

This is the first time Laos has hosted an AFF SuzukiCup match.

The AFF Cup will be held at 12 different stadiums inSoutheast Asia from November 8 to December 15.

This year, the tournament will feature a new playingformat, with both home and away ties.

After the match against Laos, Vietnam will meetMalaysia at Hanoi’s My Dinh Stadium on November 16, Myanmar in Yangon onNovember 20 and Cambodia at Hanoi’s Hang Day Stadium on November 24.

Vietnam is looking to win the regional title after a10-year wait. They won the AFF Cup for the first time in 2008.-VNA
