- PresidentNguyen Xuan Phuc hosted a reception for visiting President of the MozambicanAssembly Esperanca Laurinda Francisco Nhiuane Bias in Hanoi on June 22.

- VicePresident Vo Thi Anh Xuan had a meeting with Governor of Udon Thani province ofThailand Sayam Sirimongkol on June 22 as part of her visit to Thailand toattend the Global Summit of Women 2022.

-Vietnamand Laos are going to push ahead with the search for and repatriation ofremains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who laid down their liveswhile performing duties in the neighbouring country.

The agreement was reached at the 27th meeting ofthe two countries’ special committees, led by Vietnamese Deputy Minister ofNational Defence Sen. Lt. Gen. Vo Minh Luong and his Lao counterpart Sen.Lt. Gen. Thongloi Silivong, in Ho Chi Minh City on June 22. Read full story

-Adelegation of the Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela, headed by Ambassador Le VietDuyen, has recently visited Monagas state to promote economic, trade andinvestment ties and other potential cooperation initiatives between the twocountries.

At a working session with the delegation, Governorof Monagas Ernesto Luna committed that the state authorities will establishworking groups to increase contact with the embassy in connecting Vietnameseand Venezuelan businesses and promoting specific cooperation and investmentprojects. Read full story

Addressing the event, Assistant Foreign Ministerand Head of SOM Canada Paul Thoppil affirmed that his country always attachesgreat importance to 45-year-ties with ASEAN, and underlined that ASEAN and theSoutheast Asian region play a core role in the Indo-Pacific Strategy thatCanada is going to announce. -ThienMinh Group and Vietnam Airlines held a conference in Paris on June 21 with aview to boosting trade and tourism links between Vietnam and France after theCOVID-19 pandemic was controlled.

Vietnam, EU strengthen judicial cooperation

World Bank affirms interest in infrastructure development in Vietnam

PM urges Warburg Pincus to boost fair, sustainable Vietnam-US trade

As Vietnam is a developing country with a transitioning economy, and is still dealing with the severe consequences of war, it hopes to continue receiving support and cooperation from the US, and strengthening and deepening the Vietrnam-US Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, including maintaining and promoting stable, sustainable economic and trade relations based on equality and mutual benefit, while enhancing cooperation with US investors in the country.
