Airport corporation invests more in infrastructure upgrade

The Aviation Airport Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) said it will continue pouring investment in upgrading airport infrastructure and improving service quality to meet the sector’s growth requirements.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Aviation Airport Corporation ofVietnam (ACV)said it will continue pouring investment in upgradingairport infrastructure and improving service quality to meet the sector’s growthrequirements.

Accordingly,the firm will spend about 2 trillion VND (88 million USD) on expanding international terminal (phase 2) and an airplane parking area at Tan Son NhatAirport in Ho Chi Minh City.

ACV will also disburse 1.2 trillion VND (52.8 million USD) torepair T1 Terminal and expand a parking area at Hanoi-based Noi Bai InternationalAirport.

A VIP lounge will be built at Da Nang International Airport,while its airplane parking area will be upgraded with a total investment ofabout 150 billion VND (6.6 million USD) to serve the APEC Economic Leaders Weekin November.

In addition, ACV will also expand a terminal and a planeparking area at Phu Quoc International Airport with an estimated cost of about2 trillion VND (88 million USD), in order to raise the airport’s capacity to 5million passengers per year.-VNA
