Hanoi (VNA) –Amata VN, a subsidiary of Amata Corporation, is studying the feasibility ofestablishing a fourth industrial park in Vietnam’s central province of QuangTri.
According to Bangkok Post, Vietnam has become a hot investment destinationin Southeast Asia, with Thai industrialdeveloper Amata VN a major foreign player in the country.
Founded in 1994, Amata VN was the first foreign industrialdeveloper in Vietnam, and itis developing three industrial parks in thecountry, namely Amata City Bien Hoa, AmataCity Long Thanh, and Amata City HaLong.
President and chief executive of Amata VN Somhatai Panichewa saidthe company is teaming up with Japaneseand Singaporean companies toconduct a feasibility study requested by the Vietnamese Government which iscalling on overseas firms to expand operation and bring new investment flowinto the central region, especially Quang Tri, to connect the northern andsouthern regions.
Amata VN projects a new industrialestate based on a township concept, a combination of manufacturing, commercialand residential zones.
The project will be a green industrialestate in line with the VietnameseGovernment’s policy of eco-friendly industrialdevelopment.
Amata VN will increase its 2020 development budget for industrial estates in Vietnam from 3 billion baht (98.43 millionUSD) allocated for 2019.
The company plans to develop solar rooftops and wind farms in Vietnamto support power generation for clients in the three industrialestates./.
