Amway PresidentDoug DeVos said on April 16 in Ho Chi Minh City that the plant willcover more than 65.6 sq.km in the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Parkin the southern province of Binh Duong (VSIP-Binh Duong).
Work on the plant will kick off later this year with three productionlines. In the first stage, it will focus on producing Nutrilite with anannual capacity of 200 million USD worth of products.
Doug DeVos said his company believes in Vietnam ’s strongdevelopment potential and has a long-term investment strategy in thismarket.
US-based Amway put its first plant into operation at the Amata Industrial Park in southern Dong Nai province in 2007.
Founded in 1959, Amway has grown into a multinational direct-sellingcompany which earned a global revenue of 11.3 billion USD in 2012.-VNA
