The number of tourists to the Mekong delta province of An Giang increased by 3.65% year-on-year to 8.5 million in the first 10 months of this year, fulfilling over 92% of its yearly target.

The Mekong Caravan tour, scheduled to start from Ho Chi Minh City on November 26, aims at linking tourism agencies to disadvantaged communities across the Mekong Delta, as heard at an event introducing the programme held in the city on October 28.
China and the RoK took the lead in the number of travelers to Vietnam during the first 10 months of the year, accounting for approximately 56 per cent of the total number of foreign arrivals.
In the nine months of this year, total tourists to Hung Yen province reached 850,000, up 11% compared to the same period last year. The figure included 18,000 foreign visitors.
The northern province of Vinh Phuc is looking to capitalize on the potential of the local Tam Dao district, a popular resort destination, in the hope of turning it into a driving force for the local economy.
