Ancient village Cu Da – where old charm is preserved

Cu Da is a renowned ancient village located in Cu Khe commune, Thanh Oai district, Hanoi. It features traditional, rustic homes typical of the northern Vietnamese countryside, harmoniously blended with French colonial architecture.

In the 1990s, Cu Da village had 255 old houses, about 15-20 of which followed French architectural styles, with the rest being traditional Vietnamese. Due to historical events and urbanization, this number has significantly decreased, standing at 55 today. (Photo: Van Chi/VNA)
