HCM City (VNA) – Another vaccination centre was launched in Ho Chi Minh City’sPhu Nhuan district on December 6, aiming to meet the increasing demand of immunizationof local people.

As the secondcentre of its kind in the country after the first in Hanoi, the establishment includes17 rooms for checkups and 13 others for inoculation, enabling it to serve up to2,500 people a day.

The centreprovides all vaccines, including scarce ones such as five-in-one Pentaxim vaccine, six-in-one Infanrix Hexa, Synflorix,and Hepatitis A and B vaccines.

According to Ngo Chi Dung, Chairman of the Board ofDirectors of the Vietnam Vaccine Joint Stock Company, immunizationsafety at the center is always put on top with free screening examinations beforevaccination, and all nurses working in the centre have been trained in injectionskill.

Tran DacPhu, Director of the Preventive Medicine Department under the Ministryof Health, highlighted the significance of the centre in satisfyingvaccination demand of local residents in the southern region.

The centrewill also help reduce overloading at vaccination establishments in the city, hesaid.

Phu alsostressed the necessity to strictly obey inoculation regulations to ensureabsolute safety in the work.-VNA

Brain-dead organ donor helps save six lives

Within 24 hours, the process of receiving the donated liver, two kidneys, two corneas, and skin to conducte transplantation for six patients was completed. The last surgery ended at 8:00 pm on May 3.

Free medical checkups provided for border residents

Running from April 12-13, the activity forms part of the 9th Vietnam–China Border Defence Friendship Exchange Programme, scheduled for April 16-17 in Vietnam’s Lang Son province and China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
