Antique artifacts of Central Highlands provinces on display in Gia Lai

Gia Lai (VNA) – An out-door exhibition entitled “TayNguyen – Gia Lai Paradise” displaying antique artifacts of local ethnicpeople opened in Pleiku city in the Central Highlands province of GiaLai on December 5.

On display, which runs until to the end ofDecember 2024, arethousands of antique artifacts of collector Dang Minh Tam, includingmusicalinstruments, hunting and weaving tools, ceremonial objects, jewelryitems and other items in the life of ethnic groups in the five CentralHighlandsprovinces.

Highlights of the exhibition are a white elephant bonechair dating back 700 years and a collection of elephant hunting tools datingback more than 100 years of the M'Nong ethnic group.

Theexhibition is an activity to implement the project onpreserving and promoting the heritage value of the Central Highlandsgong cultural space in Gia Lai province as well as the traditionalvalues of the Central Highlands people in general and Gia Lai provincein particular./.

The relics will be open for public worship and veneration at Hanoi-based Quan Su Pagoda from 6 am to 9 pm from May 14-16. They will then be transferred to Tam Chuc Pagoda in the northern province of Ha Nam from May 17-21, before being returned to India.
