Binh Duong (VNA) - Arjun Kadhe of India stunned spectators by winning the Vietnam F3 Future tennis tournament, Becamex IDC Cup, which wrapped up in the southern province of Binh Duong on November 26.
Kadhe, 23, defeated Andrew Harris of Australia 7-5, 6-3 in the final of the men’s singles category which lasted one hour and 44 minutes.
Kadhe is now world No 758, while 23-year-old Harris is world No 494.
In the men’s doubles, the duo Tyler Lu of the US and Kelsey Stevenson of Canada crushed Issei Okamura and Shunrou Takeshima of Japan to take the title.
Earlier, top Vietnamese player Ly Hoang Nam lost in the quarter-final of the F3 event.
He was the runner-up in the F2 tournament, while in the F1 event, he lost in the semi-final round.-VNA
