Moscow (VNA) – Armenian President Armen Sarkissian on August 31 appreciated his country’s relations with Vietnam when receiving a letter of credentials presented by Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia cum Armenia Ngo Duc Manh.
Sarkissian also spoke highly of Vietnam’s role in the region and its achievements during the “Doi moi” (Renewal) cause.
He stressed huge potential for the bilateral cooperation, and hoped to visit Vietnam in the time ahead.
He expressed his belief that the Vietnamese Ambassador will help develop the two countries’ relations during his working tenure.
Manh, in turn, showed his honour to serve as an Ambassador to Amernia.
He agreed with the Armenian leader’s proposal of intensifying the two countries’ multifaceted collaboration as well as their coordination at international forums.
Earlier, Ambassador Manh had working sessions with the Deputy Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly, and the Foreign Minister, and visited several economic and cultural establishments in Yerevan.-VNA
