Artist utilising lotus to add charm to Vietnamese handicrafts
Kieu Cao Dung from Hanoi together with the Hali Import-Export and Trading Services JSC from Ninh Binh province utilise lotus stems to create a range of products imbued with the Vietnamese cultural identity, such as paper lotus flowers and paper fans.

Fragrant lotus ponds now play an important role in the development of eco-tourism in Phuoc Dan town, Ninh Phuoc district, in south-central province of Ninh Thuan. Cultivation of lotus flowers has also provided better incomes for local Cham ethnic people in recent times.
Lotus ponds in An Phu (My Duc district, Hanoi) are in full bloom, a flowery and breathtaking collage of pink hues during this snapshot in time when they make their gracious appearance. The ponds stretch along limestone mountains, laying out a colorful floor to the lotus valley that beckons travelers to her doorstep.

About 100 km south of Hanoi, Ninh Binh province is known for its many cultural heritage sites, such as Trang An Landscape Complex and Bai Dinh Pagoda. From May to August each year, such sites are adorned with blooming lotus ponds, attracting crowds of tourists.
